I am still sad I came late to the party and missed out on the Centofante 4, would love a sprint of any sort. A Centofante 3 with new color would be great too, I dont know enough to be picky about steels :)

If it is the Centofante 4 I would look past the pinned pivot. This would probably be my only chance to combine super blue and a wharnecliffe blade. That sound like a nice combination. I love the thin blade on my super blue delica and a 2mm hollow ground wharnecliffe in super blue sounds great.

This thread inspired me to carry my Vesuvius today and I had a curiosity pour over me while fondling it in my Wed. morning business meeting. The tang stamp says Golden, USA and the steel is ATS-34. I have no box or spydiewiki to confirm, but were these produced in Colorado and if so doesn't that mean CPM-M4 or CTS-B75P or some other domestic steel can be used in a sprint IF Golden can find a place for it in the production schedule?

A sprint Vesuvius would be very cool! I'd be interested in a standard Centofante 4 re-release or sprint, as long as the sprint was in a subtle dark color. Any steel would be fine with me.

Something to please "Tactical Max" huh? :D You wouldn't like a heather green to pay homage to the green inserts on the Centofante (C25)?

Oooh...a wharnie Vesuvius with improved compression lock and something like M4 would be a dream knife for me. That's the stuff legends are made of.

Well, Tactical Max would insist on a coated blade to maintain light discipline. But seriously, smooth FRN in a bright color would look super cheesy, IMO.

So this thread is bad for those with tax returns and bad impulse control. Went out and bought a Centofante 3 today. Rxeally don't know why I waited so long!

Courtesy bump.

I would love to see this lineup classic rejuvenated with a sprint steel or its other variations reintroduced or both!

Cento3 is in my bag today. I think the sprint run needs a pivot screw.

I'm still in for this one. The only reason I don't use my Centofante 4 more often is because it isn't easily replaced.

I like the shape and style of the centofante but the pinned pivot keeps me from getting one. The palladium bug is a really handsome feature that I wish more spyderco knives had. IMO that one feature would set off the all black sprint run PPT.

Might as well make it a Vesuvius sprint. I love the compression lock... ;)

I would prefer a Vesuvius sprint but I wonder about the aforementioned lock issues it suffered from. There have been a lot of improvements since that early version, but I bet those changes would be enough to justify a whole new model, or a "Vesuvius 2". I'd love to see it with 3mm stock in FFG.
