Fixed Shabaria

I came across this knife on British Blades.
Made by Alan Wood, well known for the Woodlore bushcraft knife.
I think it looks rather well.

Very nice knife. Thank you for sharing. I can only wish that Spyderco would make it.

From the 2001 catalog "Nomadic people living in the Jordan River Valley for eons have carried a fixed blade knife called a Shabaria. Israeli knifemaker Eduard Bradichansky introduced the world to the first folding Shabaria." So, now we have a fixed blade inspired by a folder that was inspired by a fixed blade. :)

That is correct.
Mr. Wood made it to a drawing provided by the customer.
He said it was ''a ***** to grind''.

For good measure, here a picture of an original one.
Blade is usualy around 7 inches, sharp on both sides.
