The laminated CF? It wouldn't look as good as the full CF on the version 3.0 in my opinion. I vote full CF if going that route.

I think there's enough interest for the bolstered version along with a G10 or peel ply CF version. Bolstered like the 3.0 style we're looking at $225 plus. A G10 with a good steel would be $125-$160.

I agree and since I like to use my Caly's, I would much prefer a G10 sprint with a high-end steel.

How about natural G10? Haven't seen that except on the Leafstorm.

I agree on non-laminated CF. The laminated G10/CF material is vulnerable when (not if :( ) dropped. Solid CF is a more durable choice.

How about a blade in Shirogami/White-1 to go with its sibling SuperBlue? Shirogami/White-1 is Hitachi's hardest steel, though it's not especially tough.

Just plain G10 please. None of this fancy stuff. G10 and a cool new steel...maybe the Japanese equivalent to M4? (whatever that happens to be)

Liquid, I'm not a bolster fan either. I'd like to see a Caly 3.5 Sprint with Red Kevlar - Black CF 2x2 twill weave like this for the scales. How cool would that be coming out of the red and black Spyderco box? The blade would almost have to be something like SRS-15, Cowry-X, Takefu SG2, or another exotic Japanese steel just to differentiate from the already rather exotic laminated ZDP-189 blade on the "standard" CF Caly 3.5.

The damascus Caly 3 with CF and bolsters looks great with this combination. Personnaly I don't care about the extra weight of an handle with bolsters has long as the blade is in stainless steel (bolsters = no blade maintenance to check rust in the pivot).

You're an SG2 fan, Roman? I had no idea. I have a couple Shuns in it. It's quite nice, though I have to say my vote goes for one of the White steels.

No, I'm with you, brother. Never been my thing either. It wouldn't keep me away from a design I love but it would be detracting.

I BEGGED for natty G10 forever in a few models and no response led me to give up. I am all over natty G10. Think a Millie in this would be cool too

I'd like to see a Caly 3.5 Sprint with bolsters and burgundy micarta scales plus the new Super G1 by Takefu:

I'm a function over form guy.

Dark blue G10, white #1 and screws instead of pins would be heaven.
