Delica 4 FFG

#1

Post by TheWeatherman »

So I have had about half a dozen Delicas over my lifetime so far. All saber ground, older models, I lost my last one. I just got a hold of the Full Flat Ground (FFG) Delica 4 today.

I am really impressed. I have been carrying a stainless handled Delica saber ground that I had engraved for my wedding party when I got married ( thank God I didn't loose this one), the new FFG delica 4 with FRN is so much lighter. I love the distal taper, just overall a win for me.

Good job Spyderco!

I actually like the old Manix 2 grind better. I bought a spare so I could have one in reserve. I have the FFG version too, but for a hard use knife, I prefer the older one.

Bought a ffg delica for my dad last April loved it so much I bought one for myself. My addiction started there so now I have pm2, endura ffg, super blue delica coming and I preordered a super blue dragonfly. Love spyderco's ffg blades :)
I really want a military but can't find the money :( . (Sorry if off topic).

Don't be sorry, I have be thinking about getting a hold of a paramilitary2, I hear great things about it. Not to sure about the lock thought, but I hear it is a sweet knife.

I love my pm2 ( black on black). Since I just got it I can't wait to see how well the blade and edge will wear. +1 pm2 fanboy. My ffg delica super blue should arrive by Friday, out of all my knives my delica never leaves my pocket, so I wonder how well super blue will perform to vg-10, sprint run or not all my knifes r working art. :)

I wasn't sure about the compression lock either until a friend loaned me a Salsa as a control point for a little big knives review I did. I now have a Para2 and a Superleaf. The compression lock is sweet, and the Para2 at 3.9 ounces is very sweet.
