Yes, thank you for sharing. Have put the video into it's own window so it's easier to watch:

So nice to see Sal on camera again. Haven't seen much of him since he did the interviews with Nutnfancy back in 2010 and 2011.

He says he's going to be 71 this year, which makes him 3 years younger than my father. Both men are still working, and for that I am very grateful :)

Thank you, Sal, for your vision and perseverance and for the wonderful company you have created and are passing on to Eric.
Regards,
Bruno

Thanks for the video :) It epitomizes why I only buy Spyderco :)

Small by design makes a great deal of sense. Too bad more companies don't think that way.

That's a very nice video. Thanks for sharing it.

The picture of the new Sharpmaker when he said the name of the old Sharpmaker seemed a tiny bit odd.

Thanks for the video Jan, and thanks for putting it in its own window glbpro!

"We design for the hand, not the eye."

How many of us thought that Spydercos were butt-ugly when we saw our first one? Most of us, I'd wager!

Isn't is interesting how our idea of "beauty" has evolved?

When I appreciate how much use, utility, & ergonomics that the Glessers & their collabs. pack into their knives, I have grown to love and cherish the blades, just like most of us have valued a dependable and tough old truck or car that never fails to start and seldom needs repair.

They just "become" beautiful.

Now, I think a knife is ugly if it doesn't have a round hole and hump!!! :p

I love videos like these ( and the maker collab. videos ) that show the human element behind the design/engineering of the knives. It really gives the product heart. :D

That was nicely done! I just told my wife I married her for her edge, not her handle. I got an odd look and a confused "thanks?" Ha ha

Wow. He comes off as a genuinely good person. Sadly, his business philosophy hads been discarded by too many companys today. Hopefully they'll learn the errors of their ways before its too late. Long live American business!!

Talk about paying your dues and making your own future. The knives are more than enough but there are more reasons than the knives I have a great deal of respect for Sal.

Oh yeah, the knives too. Did I mention them? :)

This just made my day. :) To me, this is the hallmark of the “American dream”: hard work, dedication, and doing what you are passionate about. It’s neat to see Spyderco’s timeline--from its humble beginnings to eventual expansion into one of the world’s premier knife companies. It is truly a blessing for me to be a part of the Spyderco family. Kudos to you, Sal and Crew!

I could watch this man talk for hours. I have been fortunate enough to visit Spyderco in Golden Colorado and talk to the man. He's such a good man. Perfect music in this video too. Sal is one of THE quintessential people that has made knives what they are today. I really appreciate Spyderco and what they have done.
