Bug Bowl!!!

Survival of the fittest, Darwinism in its purest form, if there could be only one...it's BUG BOWL!!!

Ladybug or Manbug? Vote for the Bug you feel is MOST USEFUL in EDC

If you feel like it, post one reason why you voted like you did:

My vote is for the.....MANBUG! I own multiples of the ManB. & LadyB., but the Manbug's FFG seems to me to be better at slicing corrugated carboard & opening blisterpacks

I voted for the Ladybug simply because I've gotten used to having one in my pocket for a good number of years. :) Nothing against the Manbug, though. Once I see the H1 version (if possible), I might be singing a different tune. :) :D

Manbug, because its exclusivity FFG & has a bigger thumb hole. I still want Sal and family to make a clipped Manbug.

Mostly want it to go in this type of pocket...

I use a olfa style blade at work, but also carry my Manbug for other things. It seriously kicks ***.

Here was my attempt at doing it... came out decently enough, but I would rather not have to modify it.

Spyderco please make a wire clip version of the Manbug/Ladybug!

All bow before the ZDP Ladybug. It is the king (queen?) of Lady/Manbug slicers.

I voted for Ladybug. Can get that gal in so many different flavors, ZDP, H1, Hawkbill, as well as the myriad colors. It's got the advantage of variety of the Manbug

After examining a number of them, I bought the Manbug G10 and it was not because of the name. I bought it because the bolsters remind me of a good old Barlow knife. The blade design is superior for a wider variety of tasks. It is a bit beefier and stronger.

Guess I'm on an evolutionary dead end, :o but I've been carrying a Jester for over 10 years now and will probably carry one as long as I'm carrying keys. However, if I had to choose between Ladybug and Manbug, I'd choose the Ladybug. To me, the Manbug's extra .02" of blade length isn't worth the added bulk or the 20% higher price.

None of the bugs will beat Jester in my book.

The bug most useful in EDC is the Dragonfly. I carry a ZDP Ladybug on my keys, and the only thing it gets used for is cutting the tips off tubes of caulking or adhesives. The ZDP Manbug in my watch pocket gets used even less. Frankly, I find the broad blade and round tip of the Manbug combined with the short handle makes the whole package nearly worthless for my uses.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

Manbug, definately, while I carry a Ladybug on my keychain and like the options (H1 especically) I find the manbug much more comfortable. The G10 bolstered version in my pocket today is a fantastic knife.

Like above i would take a Dfly over either.

ZDP FFG Ladybug for the win. Im also going to pick up a hawkbill serrated Salt LB soon.

They should have kept the LB's bladeshape for the MB.

Howe's had 5 LadyBugs in SB up for sale last night (actually coming into their store Feb 5 if I recall). I didn't order one, yet, with around 220 Spyderco's I'm trying to slow down my purchases a bit :) .

The Ladybug I carry most often is the Hawkbill Salt, and there isn't a ManBug version with a Hawkbill.

Best idea ever! They need to make that happen! Ladybug and Manbug with wire clip option. How'd you make that?

They are about equal for me but since that was not an option on the pole, I went with the Manbug.

Ladybug for the win! The sheer amount of flavors help it to better adapt to my EDC rotations and preferences.

Here's my personal bug bowl... :)
