Nice stuff :DThe Deacon wrote:Bolstered cocobolo Stretch, a magnificent gift from Sal:
Bolstered Kiwi, started out life with jigged bone scales, had those replaced with Sambar Stag that I selected myself at a knife show and had installed by Santa Fe Stoneworks. A few years later I had the bolsters engraved by David Clevinger:
Chaparral CF, superb slicer and my go-to knife on those days I head into Greenville, where there's a 3" blade limit:

Really like the design of the Balance.
Had the luck to be able to buy mine of a guy for 20 euro's.
Great condition in Carbon Fiber, just no box
But for the price, can't complain :o

The C-44 Dyad: Still #1 after all these years.
My top 3 Spyderco folders change ratings from time to time over the years. I still currently have my all time #1 favorite Spyderco folder being the C-44 big Dyad model>> #2 would be the C-60 Ayoob model sprint version with the G-10 handle and my # 3 is the XHP Military model.
My favorite 3 specialty Spyder folders are the G-10 Harpy, The H-1 Spyderhawk and the H-1 Catcherman.
But all of those are subject to change because my EDCs ( every day carry models) do change every few months or so.
Once they come out with models I actually like better than the ones I have now I will immediately go to a newer/better model. However I still tend to like the older Spyders better than I do the newer ones with many of the fixed blades being exceptions.
The C-44 full sized Dyad is still my all time favorite Spyderco folder by far and I'm doubtful if they come up with a two bladed folder to unseat it anytime soon.
