The pizza thread got me thinking about the number of knives people edc. I always have a ladybug on my keychain and I swap out one in my pocket.

I almost always have 2 knives, one of my larger Spydercos (usually my Manix 2 or Para2) and a tiny key chain Victorinox.

Usually 1. Might add a SAK on holidays or a small traditional if I feel like it. Have 3 living in the car.

Voted 2, but it is a knife and a Leatherman P4/PS4. If I'm not carrying a fixed blade the knife is a Spyderco.

I carried 2 for a while, but With everything else I carry every day, I can't spare the space. So I'm down to 1, and that's usually plenty if it's well chosen.

I usually have a medium to larger folder and then a smaller knife. Ex: The tuff with the techno. or the Vallatton and the embassy. or the Military and pm2. or the lionspy and the techno.
So many spydies, not enough pockets.

Now that I purchased a Dragonfly it is always that little knife and something else out of my regular rotation. I didn't think I would use the DF as much as I do but, no surprise, it is really handy to have around for many things.

Voted 2, but in reality, it's zero when I'm in the house and 3 when I go out. Jester on my keyring, plus a Kiwi and a larger folder, most often a Stretch, in my pockets.

Two, one large and one small. Also one clean and one dirty. I do a bit of food prep so I carry a knife for those dirty jobs you wouldn't want to mix with food. I carry a spyderco (usually a para2 but today a Millie) and keep it real sharp and real clean and also carry and esee izula which is used they way a small 1095 fixed blade should be used, rough. I want to replace the izula with an enuff or maybe a bark river fixed blade but then it wouldn't fill the beater knife role for me. I love that izula because it takes the really tough abuse I don't want to dish out to my favorite spidies. Of course that is edc and if I'm dressed up or going into the woods I have others preferences.

In, generally just one.

Out, 1 + jester on the keys, so I voted 2

I voted two but I do also carry a leatherman wave fairly often. Not sure if that is a knife or a tool but I use it as a tool and do not use the knives much. I wish somebody made a really nice multitool without a knife for those of us who already carry a knife or like nicer knives. Leatherman makes a tool with s30v but to me it is still just a tool with a knife and not a knife. Oops, tangent.

I posted the question in the pizza thread to the OP why he was carrying 5 on his person while answering his own door. Admittedly I carry 2 on me at all times. But if I am carrying my bag too that adds a knife making it 3. But that bag also has a multitool which has knives it making the number 4. This morning I just remembered the spyderco bug on my keychain.

Now I'm up to 5 and boy is my face red. Still, answering the door for a pizza in my own home the answer would be 2.

I voted 3, but usually at least 2.

FLP = LBK (Dragonfly, Caly 3, Kopa, Pingo, etc. (Small Seb.))
RRP = Large Folder (Military, Manix 2, Southard, Para, Stretch, Caly 3.5, etc. (Umnumzaan))
Watch pocket (if present) = Kiwi, Air, Kopa, Dyad Jr., etc. (Old Timer, Case)

This is in addition to my edc bag that has a large folder, large multitool, and a Mule Team
So if you see me with my bag on I would be carrying at least 6 (not counting any blades on my small multitool in my LRP because I guess that could be 7)

I carry a Caly 3.5 right front, Case drop point Russlock left front, Spyderco Jester keychain and German Eye large lockback Sodbuster in right back. I practice to try and come out with the Russlock and Caly 3.5 both at the same time and with both already open.
