Here's the second half to the K390 model poll! Sorry but I left out the Cat and Chicago because, well, I just don't see that happening but if you're seriously in love with that idea, voice your opinion on it here!

The first part of the poll can be found here http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... oll-Part-1

There you go! 100% vote for a Domino sprint!! ;) There are good reasons not to go with many of those others, which have been discussed already, Tuff should stay in 3V to stay "tough", and many of the rest are not big enough crowd pleasers to ensure a sprint run is bought out. Happy New Year!

I went with the Southard since I would actually pick it up.

I voted Domino. It seems like the model that would benefit most from such a steel, IMO.

Yeah, I wanted to be fair and list all the Taichung models (apart from the wee little ones). I don't know anything about the GB "having" to be M4? I know that's Gayle's thing but I wasn't aware that it would only ever be that steel.

Yeah...Domino is probably the best bet here but I may not purchase it. I let my Domino go because I just wish its blade was narrower and slightly longer (it could be done with the handle as is). It would be perfect...And with K390? Whew!

I didnt say that as a matter of factly... Hey, I'm all for a K390 GB hehe. It would need GB's approval I imagine. I just thought that GB and M4 is synonymous since he helped popularize the steel and he even put it on a twinkie blade the Air.

I have no idea, you may be right. Personally I think the steel would be better suited in a FFG blade, but that's just me.

Oh yes, I lust for our FFG's, esp Golden's. But for Taiwan models, I'm really intrigued with the prospect of a K390 GB now hehe! It's strong point may not be toughness like Chuck said but it should be plenty tough. I mean we're talking a very high level of edge retention as its strong point so it is all relative. I'd even like it on a Southard and its thick spine. The way I look at it, K390 on many of Taiwan FFG's may be overkill or flat out not interesting enough for the very first sprint we see come out in K390. The Domino should fit the bill for most, like i said though I wish its blade would be narrowed and lengthened in proportion to the handle.

Techno with K390 would be awesome. I don't have a Techno yet, but it would jump to the top of my must buy list with that steel.

The only knives on your list to have separated me from my money are the Techno and Southard. The other form-factors have not caught my interest, but a Domino in K390 would, so it has my vote.

I said it in the other thread, and I'll say it here. Better to wait for the Military...and I would not even buy a K390 knife if it was a Domino or Sage. I just don't like those models.

The PPT or Chokwe would be my only choices for Taiwanese made models.

I voted for the Southard on this poll and the GB on the other.

I voted Domino over Southard since the Southard already has a top notch steel. A different scale would be good as well, like some sort of G-10.

Probably the Domino
But, if we could get a Southard sprint that is FFG, maybe that :)

PPT sprint would be the best in my opinion. especially if they could trade the liners out for Titanium...... epic win right there!

I'd go with the South Fork.

But honestly, I'd be happy to wait for 2015 to get a Manix 2 (or Paramilitary 2).

Better yet would be both. :)

Or all three.

To be honest if it were the domino I wouldn't buy it actually, the ppt is exactly the knife I would pick, with cf scales. Such an underrated spyderco. Southard has a good enough steel already :p .
