When can we expect the next Mule?

When can we expect the next Mule? Has the steel choice been determined? I expected it before Christmas but, I guess I'll have to be patient. :)

We're getting close. Assuming everything makes it through QC, probably within the next month.

Thank you for the quick reply Sal. The steel type does not matter to me. I would buy one made of mild steel or wood for that matter. ;)

Here's hoping we persuaded Sal & Co. to put that one back in the production schedule. :spyder:

Other guess would be S110v the other steel in the pipline. I'll take two! I'm looking forward to both steels. 4V too. Blah heck all of them.

Sorry, no. If that does go back into the schedule, it will have 3 or 4 Mules ahead of it. The next Mule Team is one that we began a year or so ago. Selecting and acquiring the steel often takes some time (3-6 months), selecting where to make it, getting the steel to the maker and then building the run. Not an easy project.

That's great news! Can't wait for the new Mule...this has become my favorite spyderco model!
Personally I am not bothered by the decision to skip the CTS204p for now, as I would rather have a new steel to try (but I would buy at least one of these too!)
Combine this with the latest scales from Halpern and I am stoked for this release.

Those aren't actually Mules, even though IIRC Woodcraft had that in some of their ads. The profile is different. I don't remember how far back those go, but it's years. Auction sites and BST fora are going to be your source.

Does Halpern have the new batch ready to ship yet? If so is there link to info? I'd like to order a couple of colors in advance if possible.

I'd also like to order some from their old batch, but someone said they weren't taking orders now. Any word on that?
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.
