Today is my happy day and first posting in this forum.
I've been searching on-line for two months and finally saw that blade ops.com had it in stock. Ordered last night and got shipping confirmation today. Spyderco Para-Military 2 Knife, Plain Black Blade, Digi-Camo G10 Handle, C81GPCMOBK2
My next project is to watch some video on how to make a lanyard and then purchase some bling for it.
But, I have mixed feelings about this. I like the Didi-Cameo look.
Should I purchase similar Camo style para cord and "bling" or make one that stands out enough so I can find it?
Ideas and pictures of yours would be appreciated.

Congrats on your first PM2!

I found mine about two weeks ago and love it. Got the digi camo/satin blade. Also ordered a second one. This time black G10/satin blade. I'm not much of a lanyard fan, so I can't help you there. But I bet a nice OD green or FDE paracord lanyard would look great on it. I'm not sure I'd go with a camo pattern on the lanyard. Might be just a "bit" too much :)

Congrats. I've got the digicam / DLC (black blade) PM2, and it's one of my favorites.

Here's something to look at until your knife arrives! :)

DLC/camo is my favorite! I went with plain black for lanyard and really liked it. Orange was pretty cool too.

Thanks.
I just think the lanyards look nice. I don't really see the function. But, just maybe it would help keep the knife in my pocket in addition to the pocket clip. With my luck I'll lose it my first day! That would be hard to take after searching for two months for this specific knife and spending $130. I suppose it would defeat the purpose, but if I could I would tie it to my belt or belt loop. BTW, I'm 65 and this is my very first knife.

Congrats! Its going to be like Christmas before Christmas. From what i have seen, the Black/Digi is the most difficult to find between the 4 regular PM2's. Enjoy your new knife!

I just received my Spyderco Para-Military 2 Knife, Plain Black Blade, Digi-Camo G10 Handle, C81GPCMOBK2 from blade ops.com today.
After opening and closing it about 100 times my index finger is sore from pushing the release lock to close the blade I've seen many YouTube videos of the flip opening and closing. Mine has a very hard to push release and the blade does not flip in or out with a simple flick of my wrist and the release is very hard to puch in.
Should I contact them or Spyderco directly or blade ops.com.
I really do not think it should be so tight, and don't want to oil it or take it apart.
Anyone having trouble like this?

The finger soreness goes away after a while :)

If your blade is feeling stiff, and not deploying as smoothly as you would like, you can try adjusting the pivot screw. It sounds like yours was tightened down for shipping. A simple Torx driver can be found at the hardware store fairly cheaply. I find backing the pivot out, then bringing it back in until it is "snug", not tight, works best for me.

Last time I was on Amazon, which was I think Wednesday, they had one left in stock. Pretty sure it was a PE stainless.

Crazy Canuck,
Thanks. I'll get the tool and try it. Any idea what size?
BTW, on another thread I got an answer to try some Nano Oil.
Waiting for it to arrive.
Basically, from reading about the fakes around I was worried I got one. You folks put my mind as ease. I checked out my seller, blade ops.com and it looks reputable.

I think it's a size 8 torx.

The pillar screws are T8, and the pivot screw is T10. The clip screws are T6. I got a multi torx screw driver (Kobalt 239384) at Home Depot for around $4.00 with T4 through T15. Highly recommend one.

I think it's awesome that you got your first knife! Better late than never! The pm2 should open and close very easily. Sometimes you have to play around with the pivot screw a bit to find the sweet spot but once you do, it opens and closes smooth as butter. Once you find that sweet spot, use some loctite on the screw to keep it from loosening.

One other thing. This knife should fire open with no wrist flick at all. You should be able to put your thumb nail in he hole and push straight forward (as if you were shooting a marble). Don't push out. Push straight forward. I keep my pivot VERY tight and am still able to fire it open like this.

Thanks for all the comments. I purchased nano oil # 10 opened and closed knife over 100 times. Still very stiff. I needed a Leatherman so I purchased one and got the tor wrenches. Tried loosening the pivot and the other 2 screws nearby. Still the same. Called Bladeops and they said they would be happy to take it back, but had no more in stock. A refund is not what I wanted. Waited 2 months to find a seller. Called Spyderco and they said just to return it with $5.00 for shipping. Mailed it back last Friday. I hope for the best. Wonderful customer service at both places! I must have opened and closed it now 400 times.
