Top 3 Favorite knife/blade brands?
Obvously, Spyderco, but what other brands do you guys turn to?
Personally mine are:
1. Spyderco (obviously)
2. Gerber
3. Kershaw
EDIT: Fox knives is gaining traction in my book, as their 599 Karambit is pretty awesome. And Kali Gear handmade Karambits are especially nice, despite minor imperfections, which is to be expected, as they are handmade.

Spyderco, Spyderco, and Spyderco.
In all seriousness though, there are a few Kershaw, Gerber, and CRKT knives I don't mind, but I have far too many Spydercos on my immediate want list...I probably won't get to other brands for quite a while unless I grab a small custom fixed blade, but I still have at least 6 or 7 Spydercos I want *cough* need *cough* before that happens.

I would love to try a sebenza and still have not so I can't give an opinion. Beyond my huge preference for Spyderco I have a couple kershaws that I found to be very good deals and quality knives. I can't lie, the axis lock is a very useful and user-friendly mechanism so I do have a BM 707 sequel that I think is a thing of beauty. I may try a couple more BMs in the future and I don't think I'll be disappointed. I'm pretty fond of the one al mar I own and I appreciate the simplicity and elegance. I do plan to oick up another.
But the reason I have so many Spyderco's, other than this forum, is that the designs are seemingly more mature? and "my style" than other brands, and always useful tools. The variety is out of this world too. I do think it's important for anyone who appreciates knives to branch out brand-wise or you're denying yourself the pleasure, but Spyderco will stay my go-to.
So... Spyderco-gold standard
1st runner up is benchmade, disputes aside
2nd runner up is Kershaw, more I'd like to try, affordable, etc...
3rd runner up is al mar, my ultralight is limited but airweight and impressive.
I'm fairly new to the knife hobby so the other brands mentioned are unfamiliar to me. I will make a note of those listed, thanks.

Spyderco for conventional folders and kitchen knives, hands down. Not a day goes by without at least two of them in my pocket.
X-Acto for hobby knives. I've been using them for nearly sixty years and have at least one handle I've been using for over fifty.
Microtech for autos. Nothing brings out my inner 13 year old faster than an DE/DA OTF auto. :o

Spyderco for knives
Leatherman Wave and Charge for multitools
Victorinox for SAK
Spyderco knives just... make sense. I've been spoiled by Spyderco for all other brands. Only Spyderco feels right in my hand. Sal is my favorite knife designer. And let's not forget the hole for opening. Nothing works better.
