The Tenacious was my gateway Spyderco....
Still carry it often.

Sharpmaker in January of 1996. I had been gifted a Firefly (Moki I think) with combo edge for Christmas in December of 1995and needed a way to sharpen it.

A stainless police, which was a gift from a good ol' buddy in 1998. I still have it and use it for wood carving.

My entry drug was a Tenacious. Paid it forward to spread the addiction.

A 1st generation Endura with the full serrated blade. I lost it over the side of a ship sometime around 1994. I didn't buy my next one until 2012.

My first was the Blanchard Lone Wolf Pro-Venator bought for me by my fiancé. When I told her that I wouldn't carry it because it was too nice, she got me the Stainless/Kraton model. I also got a Snap-it about the same time, and carried it and the SS Pro-Venator for many years. More recently, it was the Sage 1 that rekindled my interest and addiction to Spydies.

Hey guys,
My first was gifted to me from my buddy back in the '90's.
It's been through ****, and was my edc for about eight years.
It still locks up solid and has no play.
Image
Fifty+ Spydercos later, and I still throw it in my pocket every now and then.
Later,
Don

Hey. New to the forum. Have had the addiction for a little over 3yrs. Most of which Ive spent chasing Butterfly's. Recently fell in love w/ Spyders as well. Had lived in CO for many years,...feel kind of native, as it were. My first was a Manix 2 XL, beautiful beast. Ended up gifting. Wanted a Native 5 for years...Finally acquired one in a 2014 Forum Knife. Outstanding. Regrettably traded. My third is a Tuff I have yet to see. Waiting for me to return from a mini vacation, very much looking forward. I have some concerns on potential lock fail...heard there have been initial probs w/ lock geometry...Will be picking brains later.

Looking forward to the forum and have a long wish list of Spyders. Watched many an interview w/ Sal and Eric...Really like what they stand for and how their doing it.

Here are some really bad pics anyway

My first Spyderco was Sharpmaker in 2005. Still goes strong. Just yesterday touched-up Forum Native5. Medium rods were replaced couple years ago.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

A Millie about 14 years ago. Still have it. It's taken apart a couple of elk and deer since then as well as more mundane tasks and is still ready for more.

My first two Spydies were identical Snap Its bought at REI when I was in college around 1990 or 1991.

I took a 20 year break after that, and when I lost my cheap CRKT knife I bought a cheap Spyderco Tenacious to replace it. And now a year later I've got waaaay to many Spydies...
