Check out Christensen Knifeworks on Instagram, cknifeworks. I had him regrind an Emerson and I am very happy with it.

Check out William (seelow123) over BF. He did his, but I'm not sure if he's taking order.

Love the idea mainaman, I have been holding off on pulling the trigger on a Manix 2, mostly because I am not crazy about the saber grind as most of my edc uses are slicing or light-medium duty tasks so I prefer my FFG blades. I missed out on the multiple FFG sprints so a re-grind sounds like a great way to get the performance of the FFG without shelling out for the previous sprints. Let me know what you find out, I know there is at least one forum member who is doing re-grinds, but I am not sure if they are offering this as a service as of now. I haven't spent much time researching this on BF, but I did get some awesome anodizing done through the custom shop at BF...may be worth a check.

Would the blade from a Manix 2 LW work in a normal Manix 2? If so, I may have to acquire a second LW and a G10 version to make a FFG Frankenstein G10 Manix 2 until a FFG version (Sprint or otherwise) comes along.

Not sure if the blades fit or not, I do not have either. One thing to consider is you would have to live with the BD-1 steel for the lightweight vs the S30v for the saber ground G10 version.

I do prefer S30V to BD1, but I prefer FFG blades. And I don't hate BD1...I like the stonewashed finish of the blade, and I find it to be easier to sharpen than S30V so it wouldn't be a huge deal. It would be a temporary fix though, and I have several other knives I want before I can afford to start buying spares to swap parts around. So it's not super likely, but I'd be tempted a little if it's possible.

Thanks for chiming in.
I am exploring a few options here in US, I'll see how that goes first.

Uh-oh. Now you've started me thinking about that. I wonder if I can get a Manix 2 reworked into a drop point FFG...?

I'm sure David will chime in on whether this can or has been done, surprised no one else has mentioned doing a FFG regrind on a standard Manix 2...

There have been many FFG Manix 2's done. I've seen around a dozen for sale on the secondary market.

Most of the ones I've seen have been done by Krein, but he doesn't do them anymore.

I just shipped off four knives to Travis :) . A G10 Polliwog, Schempp Khukuri, Breeden Rescue, and Fallkniven PXL Workhorse.

Just based on the pics and word of mouth he seems to understate his abilities :D .
