Hi guys! My question is simple. Is this a genuine Q?

As IG-88 said, this is the "S" model. It's a cool little knife.

Unlike the Q model, which was laser cut from a solid blade, the blade of the S is metal injection molded, so they didn't offer a variety of designs, as it would be prohibitively expensive to make a new mold for each design. It was offered with black handles (like the one pictured) as well as silver/gray.

It sure looks like it. When was it made? I have the original Q and the older R. Also very nice.

Interesting. How much of a collectors knife is it?

It was made from 2006-2009. I think it sold decently, but want crazy popular. As a collector piece it may do okay. Prices have only gone up since it was discontinued, but I wouldn't expect it to get too crazy expensive.

How well does the metal injection molded blade perform as a cutter? I've never even handled one of these, and it is the only use of MIM for a blade that I've ever heard of.
