Thinking about picking up this Native III but wondering about blade.

He claims it is brand new but I've never seen that pattern on a spyderco blade. Anyone seen this before? Looks fishy to me.

It can be new, still this is not Spyderco.

Looks like a fake to me. I have seen fakes just like this on the bay.
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Yeah, that doesn't look anything like my Native 3. Well, it sort of looks like it, but it is definitely not just like mine.

This is a well known fake. China's been making them for years.

Of the many signs that this is a fake, the most glaring to me is that Spyderco has never used packaging that looks like that while many fakes come with that box.

Also, the clip screw is not correctly cut out of "nickel screwdrivers."
