National Knife Day Contest - 2013 Calendar Link Issue
National Knife Day Contest - 2013 Calendar Link Issue
Hi everyone,
It just came to my attention that we had a slight glitch in the contest printed in the 2013 Calendar (which many of you have) for National Knife Day (today!). The link that is shown in the calendar isn't correct. If you visit, http://www.spyderco.com/knifeday/ you can enter the National Knife Day contest without issue (just count carefully - visit the link and that will make sense :) )
Good luck and enjoy!

Hey Taz,
Thanks for fixing the link.
I've been checking all day.
Thanks for all the cool knives and having this contest!
Today, I carried my Southard, se Viele, d2 Para, and my baby Goddard sprint, in honor of the holiday.
Good luck to all!
Later,
Don

The contest just went live yesterday when it was posted on facebook. If you did something a couple of days ago... it wasn't this one.

Well, technically bugs are insects, which have 6 legs and the Spyderco "bug" has eight, so it's an arachnid, so, if an entomologist entered, he/she would say "0" :D But I don't think that would be in keeping with the spirit of the contest. After all, whatever number it is, there's bound to be more than one person who gets it right, so I think there'll maybe be a random selection among right answers or some such :)Liquid Cobra wrote:Does anybody else feel like the number of bugs is a trick question?
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

Sure, even bacteria are called bugs, but to a biologist, a bug is a type of insect in a certain group called the Order Hemiptera. Beetles, butterflies, and so on belong to other orders. I'm sure Taz wouldn't do that to us :)gbelleh wrote:I thought spiders could be considered bugs, just not insects.

I meant more like the number of spyders is more than it appears to be
