I don't plan to mod anything, I just thought the forum writing couldn't be removed unless you refinished the entire blade (polished?).

Yea that "Forum Knife 2013" etching is pretty tacky. I'd have it removed too. No clue why they even added it...

Doesn't a lot of writing on the blade make it tactical?

Chuck, no, only if it says TACTICAL in bold letters can it be a real tactical knife.

The forum knife is way too reflective to be tactical. Haven't you ever heard of light discipline??

I've heard the more writing on the blade, the more robust one feels whilst cutting into sandwiches at the food court.

Post pics after, and I was about to say this is the only acceptable way to remove factory blade markings.

Why buy the forum knife if you are going to mod it?????

Just get the CF one that is coming out soon...leave the forum knives for those that specifically want the forum knife and like that it is a forum knife.
On the hunt for...

I bought mine to be a user and right now I have a desire to round the corners of the G10 with some sandpaper to soften the edges up a bit. I would like to do this to make it a little more comfortable in the hand but there is a part of me that says leave it alone. Any comments from the peanut gallery?

Make it your own. The forum knife should be used and you'll probably use it more if you round those corners. I don't plan to modify mine, but that's just because it doesn't have anything about it that I feel like changing.
