Great news for those that missed out. The Spyderco crew comes through again.TazKristi wrote:Pssst... look here please http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... 5-C41GPGR5
I think everybody should PM and email friends who wanted one but missed out, so they can get on the list before word gets around and other speculators manage to get on the list. I have considered putting my name on the list to pick up a second one to pass on, at cost, to a forum member who misses out a second time, but this might just cause some other forum member to miss out.... any ideas about this?TazKristi wrote:Pssst... look here please http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... 5-C41GPGR5
9 out of 700 would be somewhat trivial. I thought I read on this forum that they were still shipping the knives and wouldn't be finished until later this week. How many people here have received their packages and how many have not? Maybe only 100 or 200 have arrived so far. Maybe it is 9 out of 200, or even 9 out of 100.The Deacon wrote:9 knives out of 700+ is trivial
This is Spyderco's forum, they know who the registered members are. It would be easy enough to sell only to the registered members. Of course we might have members of this forum that are scammers. We need to realize that there is absolutely no "system" Spyderco could have used which would have insured that only good, honest, dedicated Spyderco fans who intended to keep their knives forever were eligible to purchase these knives and that everyone who was eligible actually got to purchase at least one of them.
During the 2+ hours that the website was broken I was also checking this forum to see what was happening and people were posting here that it was impossible to get through by phone.I managed to get one..by CALLING

Cancel the call to the whaaaaaambulance and click that link Kristi posted up there. You still have a pretty good chance to get one after all.
For 2 solid hours it kept trying to tell me that my state didn't exist. Does that not count as broken?CarbonFiberNut wrote:the website being broken for more than two hours when it most certainly wasn't
Done. Maybe there are only 3 or 4 people on the list in front of me.click that link Kristi posted up there

The maybe makes me think he's thinking positively.tomd1107 wrote:And you know that how?
Yeah, I guess that never hurts. And for the record I didn't mean for that to come off as rude if anyone thought that.Minibear453 wrote:The maybe makes me think he's thinking positively.
I used the phone. It took 2 redials. My order was taken by a surprisingly efficient and cheerful SFO staffer who had me off the phone and my order placed in less than 30 seconds.bdblue wrote:9 out of 700 would be somewhat trivial. First call got through for me. About 20 mins after they opened. I was third in queue but my online checkout worked before my spot came up via phone.JNewell wrote:I used the phone. It took 2 redials. My response was a small attempt at humor, very small as they say.bdblue wrote:Maybe there are only 3 or 4 people on the list in front of me.
