I picked up mine today from KnifeCenter. It has a collector number, but they also had ones without a number in stock.

I don't like that you can easily catch your index finger on the back edge of the blade.

I am trying to come up with a reason to get one other than just because.
What has anyone been using them for.

How about 'just because Ed Schempp designed it'?

Oh, and I hear Kate Upton carries one ;)

One thing that I should point out: the Equilibrium doesn't feel at all like a larger Balance in hand. It's a much more comfortable grip.

Now that's some funny stuff there.
I'd be proud of that one myself, very nice.

Just ordered mine. I like the blade shape more than the Balance.

Me too. It would be a glorified box knife for me, which is probably overkill for the price considering how very limited the knife would be otherwise. Not really anything my Ladybug can't do and it has ZDP steel.

Ordered one today from HKS. Any Spyderco that says, "Ed Schempp design!" is automatically on my buy list. :D

Thanks for the comparison pics and comment Infinite Zero!
I have been thinking about getting an Equilibrium, not sure how soon at this point though. I got my Manbug instead of the Balance, but was hoping the Equilibrium might be closer to what I'm looking for. Your pics and comment seem to confirm this.

I don't like the brushed TI/ SS/ or whatever the handles are made of...
My :spyder: Endura 4 FFG Plain, Black in VG-10 had been my faithful EDC companion since 9/26/2012
