I am new to this forum but just picked up 5 Spyderco's from a collector and need some info on them. New in box with brochure Military CPM440V Brochure shows 1998. new in box Temperance Leaf 6-11-02 Plain edge no markings on blade. New in box 7-10-02 Rescue 93mm blue. New in box 10-30-03 D'Allara with rescue blade . Looks new no box Vesuvius ATS-34 made in Colorado 913 with blue marble inlays. I have newer Spyderco knives but came across these but the collector is no longer here so I came to this forum for info. Mainly what are these worth and is the Temperance leaf and old Military real rare. The military has a parcially serrated edge. Any help would be appreciated.

You know what, you should post a few photos to get us all drooling and the info will surely come to you faster. Also if possible include a box label with the knife photo if available.

The leaf temperance was an awful knife, but if you send it to me i wont charge to take it off your hands :D

Seriously, id say the Lil temp no markings is a small treasure, the millie wont fetch as much with a PS blade but still a nice piece. The best way to find their worth is to post them on _bay with no reserve- things are worth what people are willing to pay. That said be sure to tag them all with 'para military cf'.

Welcome and great pickups on these. I am not much of a price\value evaluator,
so sorry about that, but you have some great old finds there. Someone will have
a better idea of price.

How come I never find stuff like this.

That is a riot, and sure to get lots of views on his listings.

I will try to get pictures up later when I can. I just recently got hooked on knives and can't stop. I got a Lanske sharpening system to clean up some old knives my dad gave me and it started from there.

amongst those, the lil temp is probably the mosst sought after, followed by the Military but we're not talking hundreds of $ here.. or maybe if you're lucky. Sterile C69 go for couple hundreds, the milie might as well but CE (combo edge) is not attractive for most collectors.

I don't think posting them on the bay will help him find out their worth. From the sounds of it, he isn't looking to sell, just looking to know more about them.

Picked them up to pass on to my son one day. I recently got addicted to knives, just really didn't know what I had. I read somewhere that the temperance leaf was only made one day with no markings on the blade or clip. Is that true? It may be tomorrow before I get to post pictures. My first Spyderco was a Matriarch 2 and I was hooked.

I agree with this estimate. Somebody is trying to sell sterile C69 on the bay for $300+ for few month, no success so far. About $250 for NIB probably will be reasonable.

I would say that the Vesuvius and the Lil Temp both are super collector pieces. If that Vesuvius is one of the Golden Colorado USA made units then it's a super find. I haven't seen one of those even for sale on the secondary markets in quite some time. They were actually not too easy to obtain back when they were being made>> I compare it similar to the Titanium ATR as far as it being hard to obtain even during the manufacturing period. There are people out there that will pay huge money for a "new in box" Lil T and especially one of the older 440V models. It seems like the S30V models are much easier to find now a days.

The D'Allara is sort of "iffy" because it wasn't ever all the popular at any time I can remember>> but I've been wrong before on discontinued models that were not popular during their time in the main line up. If the D'Allara is NIB then that might be one a serious collector would pay decently for. The Rescue is probably not going to be much on that collector market simply because there are just so many of them out there. But all in all you should do very well on them. Just take your time and don't get in a hurry and more than likely collectors will be looking to talk to you. Joining Bladeforums.com and becoming a Gold Member would be a great way to expose yourself to the open market. Good Luck

Is the Military that I have pictures of one of the first run models? It has laser etching on the blade that you can see in the pictures.
