PM2/Rex45. For whatever reason my work computer has me "blacklisted" from the forum. Happens from to time and only lasts a day or 2. Day 4 today, and I can't get any of these phone apps to work for pics.

It's been a slow week, so my testing isn't up to par and may just touch it up at the end of the week and hope for the best and try it out again next week.

I gotcher back.

After dominantly using the BHQ M4/jade para 3 since it dropped, I’ve moved the rex45 PM2 into “first position”. So far so good, and I haven’t even needed to sharpen it yet. Fantastic factory edge. I like the color. And the clip? The only clip I’ve ever felt the need to replace was on the para3 due to the balance point / center of gravity. On the PM2 there is no need. In fact, the current Spyderco clip is one of the things that caught my eye and started me looking at Spyderco knives again. I love the large lanyard hole, because I can run a doubled paracord lanyard through the hole, which makes it easy to add and remove without having to tie, retie, cut, etc. Where I like the ergos and aesthetics on the para3, the PM2 grip(s) is(are) better. I still love my cruwear millie too, but the PM2 would take the edc role except for the workplace rules... para3 is enough smaller that I feel more comfortable using it at work. Obviously the Urban would make an excellent “visible user” workplace knife and the PM2 could stay out of sight.

After much ado, here is the star of the day:

My youngest son has that knife Julia.
My oldest likes it so much that I'll probably have to pick one up for him! I would like to pick up a Super Tinker myself. Great pic!

I like that SAK! At first I thought it was a Charley Harper design, but the cardinal isn’t quite right for that.
Thanks! They called it "winter magic". It's a super tinker. Not sure who designed it, but it does look a lot like Charlie Harper artwork.

So far I'm really impressed with 4V. The other weekend I used the 4v Shaman to break down a bunch of double-thick cardboard and other boxes at our cabin (the Shaman is a box destroyer, btw), then de-barked and carved 4 or 5 "spears" for my son to javeline into the woods. Still cleanly slices printer paper and zero edge damage.

That's a great test of edges. Cardboard breakdown can really wreak havoc on blades. I used to carve spears with my boys!

I hate that we can’t have those “deadly weapons” here. I’d love a sheepsfoot Autonomy. Where abouts are you in Canada? Alberta here.

Those micarta handles look fantastic, turbo! How is the texture? Grippy?
Hey Peace sorry for the delayed response, haven't been around this week.

They were very slick when I first got them, but as I use them more the texture has come out a bit and they have better grip than when new but they're still on the slick side. I need to take a hike with it IWB and see if it brings out the texture even more.

Gotcha. My only experience with micarta is the handle on my ESEE 3HM. That Lil Matriarch looks great with those handles.
