Thank you! The Caly is from a good friend who did a heat mod on the clip.Tristan_david2001 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 24, 2022 7:55 pmWow, that is beautiful photo of two of some of the best folders OAT! Also, I was curious how did your calys wire clip get so blue and coppery? Did it come that way? I’ve seen some old Caly wire clips that look very bronzy, but none of my calys came looking that way, always been sorta confused about that.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I'm carrying my trusty CruWear/Micarta PM2. Earlier today I used it to break down two enormous and ultra-thick cardboard boxes that contained two small couches. By the end of the cutting the blade was very hot to the touch and the edge was so dull I could probably run it along my tongue without fear of getting cut. (This would have happened with just about any blade, the cardboard was so thick and there was so much of it.)
The great thing is that after I cleaned off all the gunk, it took about 10 swipes on each side with the medium Spyderco Sharpmaker stones to get the edge back to hair-shaving sharp!
I have done similar cardboard cutting feats with steels that have higher wear resistance than CruWear, but I've almost always had at least one or two small chips in the edge as a result. Here, there was zero chipping. A pretty good example of why toughness can be important for a folder.

Nice! I got a few birdies. The course that is within 10 minutes of me is not my favorite. All trees. And I mean all trees. I gave up playing my normal game and have started using mid to short range discs. The yellow orange Bounty you see in the pic by Dynamic Disc has become my all-rounder there. Understable mid-range for the win. Goes straight and no issue with the distance because trees.
