Nice work. Hope you get some nice does.bearfacedkiller wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 4:33 amYup, 8 point with a 18 inch spread. That is pretty good around here. It wasn’t easy. I put a lot of time in this year. I have probably spent 80 hours in the woods this fall. I still have doe tags for archery and muzzleloader so we aren’t done yet.

One has to stay at quite low altitudes here at this time of the year, even on the sunny side, to not have to deal with snow already. Here I am at just 1100 meters / 3600 feet above see level on a southern facing slope, but the top of the hill on the opposite is snowy already.
/ Appreciate the Stretch 1 so much since I came back to it after not having carried it for a while!
Just the perfect do-it-all-folder. And so very compact in the pocket for the blade you get:
Even the edge-all-the-way-to-the-handle Rockjumper, though having the exact same handle length as the Stretch 1, has around 10 mm (0.4") less blade and edge, despite the Stretch 1 offers a finger choil.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Not a Native-expert, so I was not aware of that there was a Native 3 in ffg!!
Very cool, I am pretty sure I´d prefer that particular version over any of the current Natives 5´s..

Two wonderful Little Big Knives

Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Short work week so I figured I'd give the lil Dragonfly a run. It's actually been pretty busy, A LOT of cutting these past few days. Not the most ideal knife for some of these tasks, but no complaints. It's a great little knife!
The Vtoku2 steel has dulled significantly since I started work on Monday morning, but I kind of expected that anyways. I did notice though, after a closer look...it appears that the bevel towards the tip has actually been worn down a bit compared to the belly of the blade. Does anybody else notice that in the pic below, or am I seeing things?? I did use the tip quite a bit with a lot of draw cuts through cardboard yesterday.

Probably my best perforner, when it comes to pure cutting power...

So beautiful! Between your pictures and Wartstein's, I'm pretty sure I'm living in the wrong part of the world!
