Is that a new one for you Julia? Don't believe I've seen you post it before. Lots of love for that little hawkbill around here! It's been tempting me this past week after my newly found love for the SE Wharnie. Now I want a hawkbill that's not quite as extreme as the Matriarch!

Yeah, I sold my PE df salt and got the SE hawkbill instead. I cannot overstate how awesome the SE hawkbills are. I've been carrying this one with a larger PE folder or by itself. Used it to open toy packaging at my youngest son's bday party last night, and in my garden this morning already. The ladybug version rides on my keys every day. I'll probably end up with a Tasman at some point, too. A SE wharnie-style blade is on my wish list, too, just trying to decide on platform: Caribbean sheepsfoot, delica, rockjumper, maybe.

Your endura must be getting seriously jealous!

Well... I am afraid you could be right... :D

Reassuring for the poor Endura though: If I could only have one folder and my choices were Endura or Manix 2 LW:
As much as I am enjoying the Manix (more than I thought I would) I am enough of a practical guy that I would have to go with the Endura. Mainly for the longer edge and the backlock, which I slightly prefer over the CBBL.

/ Btw: Did your S90V Manix LW break in a bit meanwhile? Though I assume you probably don´t use / operate it enough for doing so, right? Just so you know: Mine (BD1N of course) had a lot stiffer action from the factory than my previous Manix LW, but did get noticable smoother by now. Took longer though than on my backlocks as far as I can remember.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

It is breaking in slowly. Definitely better than when it was brand new. On days I'm not carrying it I've been opening and closing it a few times every time I open my knife case just to help it along.

Vtoku2 Manbug for me today, backing up my Neutron. The Manbug has been in my pocket every day since I got it and has proven itself to be very useful. I think I'm officially a "two knives" guy now..
