Snowy mountain adventure with the Pac Salt... :)

Image
I'm jealous. I miss the snow. Here it's 50 degrees and sunny out....which is nice, but sometimes I want a good snow before I hike :D
:D /
You "miss the snow" cause you once lived in a colder / more "snowy" area, or do you get snow at least sometimes where you´re based now?

I really love the "snowy seasons" (which higher up can last from November to June, or even all year long in the glacier areas); especially on touring skis one can cover distances that whould not be possible in summer. So in just one day places are reachable on snow you couldn´t in summertime (and there is NOTHING better than ascending an untouched powder slope on fat skis ... :) )
I used to live much further north. Imagine moving from Salzburg to Tunisia, that's roughly how far South I went. Didn't have the gorgeous elevation you do, but we had more snow than most people would ever want :)

Even my icon on this forum shows me in the snow, so you can tell that I not exactly hate it... ;)

Snow is beautiful and I loved it growing up when I lived in the north, now however I just want it off the roads. Trees, yards and rooftops yes please :p

I'm content seeing your beautiful mountain pics.

Ages ago I used to work in a bakery. Sure don't miss waking up at 4am and scraping 3' of snow off my car while the engine warms up :p

Giving this guy another go. Maybe the orange scales, just like its big brother will make me like it more.

I still really want this knife...

I like that DFW in orange! And agree, a wharnie bug would be awesome! In a steel easy to get a sticky sharp edge, like BD1 or AEB-L. I’ve been enjoying my Urban. Great little knife! Still want that one in wharnie style too.

I'm trying so hard to figure out what engine I'm looking at...

Can't figure it out. Is that a three cylinder Kubota or something?

Really LOVING my collection lately, and find it very hard...almost stressful to choose which knife to carry for the day haha! It's typically narrowed down between 5-10 of them. I have no idea how you guys with 30+ knives can choose.

Haha, we can't.

Hah, I can't even decide which one of my black friday purchases to carry today. I've been seriously thinking about letting go of some of my knives lately, but the collection just keeps growing. First world problems, i guess..

I'm enjoying your all your Micarta Shaman pics, btw! I tried like crazy to pick one up, but no such luck for me. Such a nice looking knife!

I truly thought Honda, but I only saw three cylinders... I never think about the J series. Good engine.

We had the 08' V6 Accord hybrid and it was a great engine and car for that matter. Gave it to my youngest as her 1st car but like so many 1st cars she wrecked it. Small non-injury wreck but the age and miles totaled it...had it 8 years and the only repair was a cracked plastic intake tube.

She did forget to close the moonroof and it ruined the leather interior during a 3 day down pour :(
