May your feet be warm and dry and your throat warm with whiskey. A knife in hand or in the sock band.

i'm carrying my rec manix 2 and pacific salt. no surprises there. i wish the pacific salt kept it's old handle. for just about everything else, i really prefer the newer frn texturing spyderco uses, but i really like the volcano grip and shape of the old pacific salt.

I’ve been carrying my Bugout a lot, because it’s just so **** light weight. Decided it was time for a change, and if I was going to carry more weight I might as well carry an absolute unit of a knife.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Shaman or Military give me that feeling for my Spyderco knives. Tough to beat those models! Sometimes it's nice to KNOW you're carrying a knife :cheap-sunglasses

It's a toss-up for me.

With the first gen Pacifics I love the stiffer handle and simpler construction. The handle texture is the perfect balance of being quite grippy but never feeling abrasive carried IWB. The corners of the scales also seem more rounded.

With gen 2 I like the texture better in my hand, not as much in my pocket. Like the more pronounced guard and the more curved butt end. More comfy when reaching into my pocket.

Both handles feel great to me.

i can deal with either as well. on my old one, i usually have my index finger in the first spot, my middle and ring in the next, and my pinky in the last. the new design forces me to put my ring and pinky together on the end. it's a minor adjustment and it's fine, but i prefer the way the old gives me more bulk under my pinky than the new one offers. it's just more comfortable for me.
