Aw, I'm sorry, SG. My kitty is 16, and not in the greatest health...it's so hard to say goodbye when they've been your trusty companion for so long.

I feel you. We lost our cat to a lymphoma 4 months ago. Got another kitty since, but I'll be damned if I don't think about him every day.

Nice, Rick! Of all my aftermarket scales those are still my favorites. I really want another set - I keep checking to see if they're in stock, but no luck. Still patiently (kinda) hoping for other colors, too.

Love me some Rex45! I just got the Lil' Native today, so I figured the opposite ends of the spectrum would be in order...

Yea last weekend I decided the Rex45 deserved my best scales. I agree, I love them! Can't wait to see how those scales from Fireside compare.

I don't know what I did wrong when putting it all together last weekend when I made that thread about the lock stick. I ended up disassembling the knife and starting from scratch...no problems after that. Would like to know what was off though so I don't do it again!

Sorry to hear SG. My wife had a cat that was 15 that passed this past October. She was devastated, had her since she was a kitten as she also had her mother.

Kind of a funny story. On Mother's Day I got her some bacon wrapped scallops. A snack we enjoy when having a movie night. I figured we haven't had them in quite a while so I'd surprise her. She was acting a bit funny when I came home from the grocery store that day. After about 10 minutes I had to start heckling her with what was wrong, I could feel something was off and had no idea what was wrong. She started to cry and said she hasn't bought scallops lately because she used to always let that kitty nibble some scallop off the toothpick of the last one she would eat. Super cute, but sad at the same time.

Sorry to hear that :( it's hard losing pets. It's been nearly six years since I had to put down my best friend since childhood, Murphy. Here he is soon after he was given to us at eight months old in the early 2000s. I think about him often.

Now, my wife and I have a mother and son pair of cats, Tigris and TJ. We find them quite entertaining. TJ looks at knives the way I do :)

Sorry to hear! My girl had to put old cat down about a year ago. She's been missing her ever since. So we brought these two knuckleheads home about a week ago. It's like having kids again lol

Beautiful kittens, Sharp Guy!

My time in the woods was short today...I love my spydies, but nothing ruins a hike like an actual spider web to the face every 20 feet.

Sorry to hear that, Spydergirl. Are you going to get another one? Abby’s been hanging out with me today, she’ll be 13 this fall. Oh, and a Delica 4 w/Emerson opener is in the pocket today.

Once again, the Micro Dyad.

I love this little guy, it combines a Jester(almost), with a J.D. Smith and forms an epic little pocket knife. The PE blade makes for an excellent splinter getter/fingernail cleaner and the SE works for everything else.

Nice hike with the Pac Salt today..

Farmers let their sheep flock graze freely in the lower parts of the mountains from June to early fall.
