Next time I post a picture of it the handle should be a different color. The Kelly Green dye looks closer to foliage green in person. Hope it works. If not, there's always black.

Figured this would be a fun experiment while I wait for my micarta scales to be made.

I think I'm going to try this dye on my LC200N Pacific too. Planned on going black but I might as well give this a shot first.

FWIW, I've found using their "DyeMore" line works significantly better on G10 than anything else I've tried.

Thanks buddy, lots of great places to take photos down here. Sometimes in a public setting I will randomly take out a knife for a photo and it makes for some interesting conversations but it’s cool because it gives me a chance to talk to people about knives.

Thanks for demonstrating. I’ve been wanting to dye 2 different sets of scales; my gray Cruwear millie is dyed “wine”, and I want to strip it and go green; my jade para3 scales need a darker forest green. I have held off buying dye because I’ve no idea what the results would be; definitely need a darker result than that Kelly green is providing.

Really like this thin blade, was an absolute laser through a lot of that fiber woven brown packaging tape yesterday. The tip is so thin, punctures anything I cut with ease, no pressure needed. What a great design!

I´d wipe of my REX 45 Manix too after cutting a lemon (like I would any knife), but other than that (cutting food): DO you let "chemistry happen" on your REX 45 blade(s)? I do, and it is really not too bad corrosionwise.,,

Almost missed your post, albeit I´ve asked and been really waiting for your impressions.

Maybe such posts by real knife users can help in making Spyderco consider offering more thinner bladed folders...(though again, to be fair: They are a "thin blade" company anyway already compared to other brands)
I am NOT saying that every folder should have a 2.50 or 2.00 blade stock, there are certainly reasons for thicker blades in general EDC knives!
But when it comes to pure cutting performance, and to folks who really use their knives mainly for traditionally cutting stuff, imho midsize - to longer blades in thin stock are hard to beat.
And the Watu falls in that category, after all it offers a Manix-length cutting edge in performance oriented thin stock.
And so my second dream knife (my first has come true already with the ffg SE Pac Salt :)) would still be a Chaparral XL - I am sure a longer, 2.00 blade stock Spyderco (so even thinner than the Ẃatu or Delica) would perform great and still hold up just fine...
Also, the one thing I really would have hoped that the Endela would have taken from the Delica (since it was designed as a knife between Endura and Delica) is the 2.5 mm stock.

Like you, if I cut something wet I wipe the blade, otherwise I just let it be. The only part of the blade that shows any "chemistry" is the exposed part on the presentation side where it sits against my body from IWB carry. I'll post a pic later when the sun is up. :)

I personally am really glad I pulled the trigger on mine.. definitely a keeper (while I might sell the BD1N Manix someday, though I like that one a lot too).

It's fantastic. The steel is great (I already knew I liked it from the Native LW that I have) but I like the model much more than I thought I might. I really like the lock-- the self-close and strong closing bias make it appealing like a backlock. Intellectually I had thought the lock to have 'too many' small moving parts, but in reality it is great. I didn't like the G10 Manix as much when I handled one ( only one time) and I know you prefer the LW too.
