Man, those scales seem to be a different shade in every photo. Is that common with natural G10?

Nice! I've found hammocks are really popular with kids. I had mine setup at a park and a couple kids had to try it out. Mine showed them how to get in and out, she's a pro at it. We've been taking hammocks out on mountain hikes for years now.

Seems to be the case with dyed natural g10. same situation with my m4 manix before i got micarta scales. every photo the scales looked different. this picture is pretty accurate compared to in person.

Has the M4 Chief usurped the REX45 Chief's throne?
Absolutely. I like this color scheme much more, and prefer having DLC on tool steel folders. Rex45 probably has a little better edge retention but M4 is one of my favorite steels to sharpen so its a fair trade off. I already sold my backup Rex45 Chief.

Tip: Don't let random kids in the park into your hammock, especially if you are in it.

Found this Mantra in the same store where I got the Sage 3. I should stop checking that store, it's killing my wallet :)
