That's good to hear. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to hear your experience if/when the time comes.

I actually prefer the Endura 4 handle over the Pac Salt / Endura 3 handle, not by much, but still undoubtedly, though both have great ergos.PeaceInOurTime wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 2:51 pm
It's just too good to not carry :) And today, a Vic Camper is riding along side it.
By the way, now that you have a Pacific Salt, which handle design do you prefer in comparison to the Endura? I know you like the Endura handle, as do I, just curious.
But keep in mind: I almost never put my thumb on the ramp, but most times on the side / the flat of the blade (just where the thumb hole is).
That tends to position my middle finger a bit more forward on the grip and makes both my index and middle finger perfectly fit in the first finger placement of the Endura 4 handle.
Anyway, for me the E4 handle is an improvement over the Pac Salts, but I guess which one you prefer depends a lot on your hand size and also preferred grip(s)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Sorry, one more question. Do you know if the knife still functions when the spring is removed? In essence, if someone wanted to remove the spring to make it a non-auto for legal reasons and still have a perfectly working knife, would that be possible? Sorry for all of the questions, I appreciate your feedback!bearrowland wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2019 7:11 amI'll definitely let you know. I'm curious to see myself.

Thanks for the report! I've had alot of experience using my Cara Cara 2 handled knives and, from what I've gathered, they're very similar to the E3/Pacific Salt handles. IMO, they're both good, but my preference is E4.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
No problem! I don't know the answer to that.
I don't see why it wouldn't work, since there's plenty of blade to grab hold of to open.
So far, I've only used this knife around work, but I think it's time to put it to use daily and see how it does.
