I gotta ask... Is it common for people to trip and fall and accidentally roll down the mountainside where you live? Serious question.

My 3yr old helped with blade/scale swapping again. He's getting pretty good at tightening the clip screws. Image

Hi Spydergirl, sorry for the late reply.

"Common" - no.

It happens occasionally just cause, unlike to the flatlands, it CAN happen (like when people are living on the coast, from time to time someone will drown just cause the circumstances allow for this to happen).

What you describe ("trip, fall and roll down the mountainside") almost always happens to tourists, who have no experience in and had no opportunity to learn how to naturally move, walk,... in the mountains like we locals do from very young age on. Furthermore, tourist from the flat lands often times carry way more stuff than they actually need in their then too heavy packs and are so exhausted that they could not even walk straight on a flat road anymore. (This is NOT meant disrespectful! Put me in a boat at the ocean shore and tell me to reach that island over there and I will probably be totally overchallenged - while a 6 year old local will easily do it... :p )

When it comes to locals it is more likely that they fall when climbing loose rock free solo or freeze to death when they are deep in the mountains and the weather suddenly changes.

What a Native parade... :)

The Native 5 is good (had the LW in S35VN) for me though other models in that size range work even better performance- and ergo-wise.
Still: This model just looks so cool, that I am really thinking about getting another one mainly for the great looks of it... :o
