Stretch 1, like all the time on this trip, on a black volcanoe sand beach.
...
dude! i didn't know you knew about sea level. :rofl
:grin-sweat

Well, on this trip (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60127&start=40600#p1703017) I learn about "sea level" again ;)
(actually spent quite some time at the (medierrenean) sea when I was younger on remote beaches of Corsica, Crostia, Greek islands...)

Also completely faling in love with the Stretch 1 again - wish I had it with an endela-ish serration pattern..(yes, the Stretch IS also in the second pic ;) )

I've got the new k390 Enuff 2 in pocket today. I'll post a picture in a minute.

I’m repeatedly surprised how small the grip area is on the Enuff(s). The short blade of the OG Enuff created the optical illusion of an oversized grip, which ultimately made me dismiss the OG even though the knife intrigued me. Well, that and the lack of a non serrated Salt.

As time has gone by and lots of different knife pictures has sweep’d across my retina I’ve slowly started to realize the Enuff grip area is smaller than I used to think. The real eye opener came in the form of the overview pic of the k390 lineup in the last Byte letter. That was very revealing as far as size goes, but it was also a bit “zoomed out” to capture the whole family and the grip areas weren't lined up, so it was hard to know exactly how it compared to other models than those next to it on either side.
Your close-up comparison with a Delica is the ultimate evidence. Case closed. I need to give this knife a try. I almost feel obligated to, after years of hoping and hinting about more models suited for smaller hand sizes - and there it was all along :smiling-cheeks

If there was a version available in LC or MC it would be in the mail already. Both k390 and VG-10 miss the mark somewhat for me, but if the salt version doesn’t materialize in reasonable time I’ll get at least one of them anyways, and maybe both if I like it as much as I expect to.

I can tell you: For me the Enuff ("1") has the best handle of any Spyderco I've ever held (if one is content with just a single, but amazing grip option).
I almost kept mine (clip point) just for that handle, despite the blade being too short for my liking.
And I have L to XL hands, the Enuff handle fitted like a glove. Perfect.

Now I don't know how much the thinner blade stock of the "2" and by that presumably also thinner handle will change this, I am positive though that the "2" will still have great ergos.

Actually trying to figure out a reason why I need one, despite being perfectly happy already with my just a bit bigger Waterway... :winking-tongue

That’s quite surprising given how short the grip area appears compared to the Delica’s.
Then again maybe you have slender long mitts like I have? I’m barely a size M in gun grip width but need to wear size L in gloves due to hand/finger length.

The Waterway is a great knife (even without a regrind) that works well across many areas of use. Especially when carried on a backpack, PFD or similar, but I don’t dig it for belt carry. The handle is long and pokey, which is further amplified by a sheath that rides high on the belt. I’ve mitigated that somewhat by adding a dangler, but that isn’t always ideal either.
As such my hope is that the E2 will complement the WW rather than replace it. I’m always on the lookout for a fixed blade with decent blade length that doesn’t have an oversized handle. This is quite rare because it tend to offset the balance, but I don’t need all my blades to be well balanced, sometimes I just want something that fits my hand well and carries efficiently. The Enuff 2 is increasingly looking like it could be that knife.

I'm glad it could help. The handle is pretty nice, and I was pleasantly surprised by the the blade being as thin as it is. I will absolutely be picking up the VG-10 model in plain edge - probably in the serrated edge as well. I hope they make a salt version in LC200N or Magnacut. I would buy either instantly.

I think that the Enuff actually does not offer less or at least not much less grip area than the Delica (which actually offers a lot of handlespace for a small knife imo) - ?
See the crude lines I drew in Kerrcobras pic.

I would assume I have "true" L/XL hands, both in length and width, and as said: The Enuff 1 did fit perfectly, as far as I recall it offered at least manix-ish handle space.

/ I love my Waterway too (do you know about and actually refer to the regrind mine has?!).
But I too mostly carry it on or in a pack and put it on my belt just in camp or during longer breaks when hiking.
The Waterway handle is great for how thin it is and offers a lot of space to work with, but comfortwise imo still no match for the Enuff handle.

the contouring can make a huge difference though. the delica remains more open to the end whereas the enuff cramps your fingers together with the contouring.

Just the fact that it’s comparable is enough to grab my attention. The Salt 2 (Delica) handle is a very good fit for me.

Looks smaller than a Manix, but it’s not a problem if they’re similar. The Manix 2 fits me almost like a glove, with just a we bit of handle to spare.

I poured boiling water in a glass. Added 3 caps of grey dye. Stirred and dipped the knife for 20 sec intervals until I achieved this color. It will turn dark yellow first. Then like a tanish color. Then this.
