Hasn't seen much use today as it's my first day off since Christmas, but it's in the shorts anyway :)

Just picked this up from the post office :)

I have to say, I am quite a fan of the shade of blue used on this model. Can't wait for the Manix LW now!

That knife is at the top of my most wanted list. I called Spyderco earlier this week and they confirmed they will be making more soon, but wound’t reveal their timeline.

I could be wrong, but it looks little bit like the C240 Smock. I'll have to check spydiewiki... :D

Those serrations look super thin. Was that how yours came from factory?
I thinned them down quite a bit from how they were ground at the factory. Out of the box it was pretty close to the 40° setting on the Sharpmaker. I reprofiled to 30° and then thinned it down a little more to keep it thin bte. It was slicey out of the box but now...WOW! :D

What sharpening device did you use to reprofile?
I do that with the corners of my CBN rods when it comes to SE, but I can recall Sal saying that he would not really recommend that since it could wear the rods (CBN or diamond) too easy and fast...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

Carrying and using the Chap always makes me wonder why all the thick bladed small folders out there are not total niche knives and why the strong, but still optimized for slicing Chap blade stock is not the gold standard in that size category..

I used the corners of my CBN rods with very light pressure. To thin bte I just angle the blade a few degrees toward the rod. Yes they do wear down fairly fast, but the time saved vs. using the brown rods is worth it to me.

Kind of interesting that the Chaparral has been around for nearly 10 years and no one has commissioned an exclusive yet. You would think some dealer would have by now. The Taichung dealer exclusive spydies usually get the 20CV treatment or a diff color CF

Maybe the LW version will open the door for that more.

What up my Texas people. There’s a mi cocina in Austin, no idea if it’s the same as what you’re referring to, I’ve never been there. But man a margarita sure does sound good right now.

I’m still carrying the serrated endela. I love this knife.
