Thank you! Yes, I like this one too. Although, to be perfectly honest, I’ve only carried it once. :o It has an exquisitely smooth drop-shut action though, that’s for sure.

I've never owned one, but I love the look of the older Natives, especially in SE. They just look so dang cool with the swedge and the sleek lines on the scales! The CoPilot wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 8:21 amOld favorite here with me today: C41SBBK Native. Purchased this new in about 2007. Distinctly remember it was the first Spyderco I ever owned that had the bug logo etched onto the blade. Lots of changes to the Native since I bought this one, but I still prefer the old style.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Just said in another thread thar I'd probably choose my Endela (SE) over my Manix LW if I was forced to do so.
Glad that I do NOT have to choose... for I REALLY like this knife and to carry it when hiking...

Still one of my favorite FRN models...
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Had my Police 4 IWB today. Was excited to test out the fresh edge.
Going back to the Pacific 2 tomorrow. Noticed rust forming on the blade after four hours.

I´ve almost forgotten about the speed with which "you can rust knives", Vivi. :p
Really weird for me. I just can´t rust VG10, and I even carry my XHP Chap IWB A LOT when runnning in hot summer conditions for hours, don´t even wipe off the blade afterwards and it still shows nothing but one or two of the tiniest dark spots....
Wonder if this is only due to "different chemical sweat composition" or maybe more a combination of sweat and the general climate one happens to live in.

It's pretty wild how you can carry a much less rust resistant steel with no issues.Wartstein wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 12:23 am

To be fair if I knew I was going to end up mountain biking in 95 degree heat I would have picked a salt this morning. Oh well, it'll clean off in 30 seconds.
I'm not used to having to think about this because the Pacific 2 has been in my pocket every day since I bought it.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I obviously never even handled this knife, but just from what I can see: This could very well be my most favorite Delica model (handle, SE edge, thin ffg) or in fact be in my top two or three favorite smaller folders overall.
Plus it looks just great.
/ I can remember that when you got the knife you liked ffg SE.
Now I´de be curious how you think about it after some use in your more "professional-/jobsite" use/enviroment and - tasks?

This knife definitely strikes me as one that would interest you. I was holding out for the Rockjumper, until this was offered for the amazing price of $52 back in May, I knew I couldn't pass it up.Wartstein wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 10:36 am

It's on the smaller end of the spectrum for my typical liking, especially for work purposes...but I have no complaints yet! Frn scales are light, but these Terotuf scales make this thing feel like a feather. Choking up on the ricasso works well on this knife too for more controlled cuts when I'm cutting around electrical cables in packaging. I like the depth of the serrations as well, they very rarely snag on any material and slice very well. Tape gets caught in the serrations more than a PE blade, but that's not a big deal. Even though it's smaller than my usual preferences, the serrations certainly make up for that and make it a more than capable knife for what I do.
I carried it for a week at work when I first got it and was going to do a writeup on it, but decided not to since it's pretty unfair to try and compare an SE and PE...which I know you totally understand :)

Gorgeous scenery! And I'm glad to see you changing things up - I was starting to feel bad for your other knives!

I remember the tales of your sweat...
This is currently my office temperature for the last 2 days here in central Texas... and I’ve never got vg10 to rust!
