It actually WAS by accident indeed... this time. ;)

Said it in some other post: I don't care for "fashion" at all and don't have to in my job. So I normally wear jeans or climbing pants, grab the top most T-Shirt from the pile and am good to go... BUT: Quite often I DO choose my Spydie for the day by matching color...everybody needs SOME styling at least.. :D
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Talking about colours, my Wartsty arrived today (it is named after you as this addition to my collection is entirely "your fault").

But as I said in other thread, do not get too excited because there is still a loooong way ahead before I join the SE cult ;) :D

I feel more than honored, my friend!! :)

But now of course I´d like to know how you like it? Did you receive a perfect one concerning the action or a less than ideal? (The Manix 2 LW, especially the sprints and exclusives though, seem to have more not-so-good examples concerning the action than other models)

I was lucky enough to receive a perfect one. Razor sharp out of the box, perfect centering and butterly action (when the lock is depressed from both sides -with the thumb and the forefinger- the blade falls without any resistance and closes).

I will carry it a couple of weeks just to play with the new toy but it will be definitely a safe queen. Though I ordered a Lynch deep carry clip (to carry it discretely -the color of the handle is a magnet which immediately attracts attention) I see two problems for it to become an EDC: the shape of the blade has what I call a "neolitic flavor "(we have already spoken about this) and I prefer more stylized blades (like that of the Endura) and it feels too big (wide) in the pocket.

Image

In fact I ordered my second Endura along with the Manix (saber grind, as I already have a Zome FFG) and it will be definitely a user. I bought the saber grind version because I use a KME and that configuration of the blade allows a symetric grip by the claws of the shaperner and perfect even edge angles on both sides.

All in all, I am very happy with the Manix (as a collection piece -it is my first SPY-27) and thank you for your advice. I also thank you for putting me on the track of CT. I didn't know them and their service has been perfect.
