Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Hi, I recently purchased this little guy from a local knife shop. It was sold as a used knife but the guy at the shop was unsure what model it was. Can anyone help me out here. The knife says China on the back side of the blade. The blade is about 2 inches long, the handle about 3.25 inches. The blade material is 8cr13mov according to the blade inscription and the handle is presumably stainless steel. Thanks everyone!

Been carrying these two all week:
The K390 is for work tasks, and the AEB-L is for light lunch and dinner food prep jobs.

So how are you liking the Caribbean? I’ve had the exact same one for a while and it’s really hard knife to beat. FYI My Caribbean just keeps getting smoother and smoother it almost drops shut now.

I really like it but its still pretty stiff, I love the compression lock Spydies for fidgeting but this one needs some more break in for sure. Hope it loosens up some. I have had it wet several times with saltwater and carried it everyday with zero signs of corrosion and its holding an edge fine. Its a great work knife and the light weight is awesome.BLUETYPEII wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:38 pmSo how are you liking the Caribbean? Still with the DLT Smock.
Changed the clip, and used it around the house a little bit. Egro is fine in my hand, and the "choil" works for me too. :D

A man of good taste!
I had mine with me yesterday. Today, I'm thinking it's going to be a Kiwi.

Try some oil on the pivot. it should help. I think because the Salt knives are exposed to water more they need to be oiled a little more frequently. Just for the action not corrosion resistance. Only my opinion your mileage may vary.
