Training most of the day, but still wanted these guys together. Feeling pretty fortunate to get both of these this past year at favorable prices.

Keeping the Micarta train rolling.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Thanks Dan! I love how turkey tail mushrooms look, so much contrast. I do wish my phone took sharper photos in low light though lol.

Thanks! I wish I had cleaned the blade as well as I normally do for photos.TheGiant80 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 11:54 amI think this might be the first time I've ever saved someone else's knife photo to my desktop.
Sorry I'm a bit behind the curve here, but how did you acquire that sweet blade? I didn't think they dropped yet.
The SXL G10 was available at Patriot Knifeworks, only place I'm aware of so far. Seki G10 is always expensive, but this one is really up there. I'm sorry for everyone that it wasn't available over the MAP Holiday Weekend - It's an exceptional piece!

Much obliged for the reply! Also, I'm glad it wasn't perfectly clean. I prefer seeing a little wear/love on knives every now and then.abbazaba wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 12:01 pmThanks! I wish I had cleaned the blade as well as I normally do for photos.

It really does look exceptional. And here I thought I was done making blade purchases for the next while. Ha!
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thanks Dan, that shot and knife look great! I just ordered my first dealer modified Spyderco this weekend... PM2 Crucarta, heat bronzed! We'll see how it turns out.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 9:14 amActually it is a tribute shot to him . I admired his Stretch XL G10 shot I thought I would do a variation at Brock Lake . I bought a Smock just due to your pictures on Black Friday. Not sure if I will copy you with the scales yet, but I'm leaning heavily in that direction.
Please keep the get pictures coming!

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I considered picking up another when they put them online yesterday because I think it’s such a cool design. It feels just as solid as it looks too. I’ve only had this one since the in-person seconds sale but I liked it so much that it was one of the few knives I flew home with, everything else got shipped. Everything else arrived yesterday though, so I’m going to be switching it up more often for a while.
