Got rained out of a disc golf match today, so this one got to work with me instead. Home Improvement not Home Perfection.

Exterior door had shifted away from the strike. Had to cut it open and add some shims. Closed and waiting for caulk to dry.

Forgot to mention, drywall is about the last thing I would use a knife on. Too dense and too easy to score with a razor blade. I once and only once scored drywall with a pocket knife. I was in a certain large box home improvement store. They will sell you pieces if you are lucky and ask nicely. Just needed a portion for a ceiling repair from a water leak. No one in that store had a flipping box cutter. That's weird right?

i knew you wouldn't actually be cutting drywall. i was just messing with you. but, that's why i carry this little guy. you never know when you'll have to cut something that you don't want to use your expensive edc on, like drywall.

Oh I know you were. I couldn't resist another "What a knife can take" kinda story. Speaking of which, the next time I'm in that store and no one has a box cutter, I'm going to walk over to the tool section, and grab one of their cheapos and hand it to them. In a nice way of course.
😂
Total Dad move.

Also, that is a really cool little gadget you have right there.

it comes in a 2 pack from walmart for less than $9. if i have it and someone says i can't have a knife, i take out the blade and throw it away. if that's not good enough for them, i don't care about losing it completely. i even carried it into an amusement park today and they didn't even notice. i've whittled with it and it is capable of handling almost any of my edc tasks.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

How'd I ever get as old as I am without ever seeing wavy edge boxcutter blades like that?
