So is it rare in English?

In German (the local language here in Austria) "perfide" is a word that would not often be used in common speech, but more in written language - it would certainly sound a bit oldschool and exaggerated (but that´s what I wanted it to sound in my of course 100% ironic comment), but it´s not like the term would be never used...

I appreciated the use of "perfidious" in your post, but seriously I looked it up and realized that I had not ever remembered coming across perfidy in any context.

So yeah, it's rare. That's not to say it's never used, but I would venture to guess that the large majority of Americans have never used the word in any form ever.

Or I just haven't read enough military history, LOL! I'm sure military historians or legal scholars are much more familiar with its usage.
So it goes.

How did your edge look after that? Don't see that material cut very often.

Byrd Cara Cara Rescue and K390 Endura. The Endura is some knife. It's been months since I sharpened it and it's still going strong even with daily use. The thin re-grind and K390 steel make for a long-lasting edge!

Getting ready for a nice Friday afternoon outdoor boulder training session.

Old Native with me today.
I love this knife - despite it being small and offering not much cutting edge (still more though than the current Native 5) - it's just really cool.
