I shared in this post (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60127&start=28160#p1530639) already, that there can still be found fragments of US bombs (or even live bombs) from the end of WW2 in remote areas around my hometown of Salzburg (for details on the history you might want to click the above link).
In short: Sometímes the US bomber pilots had to drop remaining bombs on the way back to their bases, in order to get light enough to not run out of fuel. They really tried to avoid by all means to do damage to civilians or non war essential structures, and so they typically unloaded the remaining bombs over remote, uninhabited mountain areas)

Here is another WW2 US bomb-fragment I came across in a really remote place in the mountains.
Like most times these days on mountain hikes, the Salt 2 was in my pocket.

Your photos pushed me over the edge with the green Salt2. I'm a sucker for spyderedges anyway so ... this reminds me that I brought my serrated Dfly2 salt with me in Gran Canaria three years ago and that little guy went through everything like a champ. Serrations are allways a leverage. I never feel ''under knifed'' when I pack blades with teeth as small as they may be so I am sure the Salt2 is all you need even in the outdoors.

Waiting for his green brother ...

This one gets the lion's share of pocket time. Pic recycled from another thread, sorry.

Approx 15 year old Gary Fisher Rig lol. Only 29er I could afford when they first came into production. Fresh tires and pedals this year really helped freshen it up.

Not my favorite model, but the shot is great indeed!

Went through the freshen up exercise with my 2004 Trek 8000. Currently doing it with my friend's 1996 Specialized Rock Hopper. We both have modern 29er full suspension bikes. But there is something about bombing down a hill on a classic, with better/safer components :grin-big eyes

Thanks fella's! I liked the way the sun was shining and had to look for a good spot to capture it ever so slightly.

I agree Warty, not the best model...but not the worst! Haha.
