No lock, no problem! Been used hard the past couple days. S30V not doing so great though, struggled with some rope earlier this morning and only been using it since yesterday.

Rick, you know, eventually you probably will succeed in making me really want this little NON LOCKING!!! :hushed-face :hushed-face guy! ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Never new you had a Ronin. What are your thoughts on it. Little wonder you're looking forward to the upcoming Swicks.

Seeing your Skurka Fancy Feast Alchy stove answers what I'd wondered last week. I'd wondered when I saw that photo you posted last week of your green pot with the orange flames coming out from under it, weather it was a wood fire, or some kind of an Alchy stove burning Iso.

Now I know :)

Definitely a great way to heat up some eats IMO. outside, out of a backpack, at a destination arrived to via human power, etc... "neature, heh-heh" :)

u.w.

Absolutely agree :)
Yeah, I have a small wood stove, but this simple cat food can with a small bottle of isopropyl works faster, packs smaller, and I don't smell like smoke afterwards.

It's a very nice design. I bought mine for utility work, and because I wanted another BD1 knife. At the time it was one of the only ones Spyderco made besides the mini manix, which I'm not wild about.

Probably the easiest knife in my collection to get screaming sharp, between the ease of sharpening BD1 and the blade shape.

Ergos are improved for me over thbe Yojimbo 2, which ended up being a catch and release for me.

The sheath is extremely well done, a lot of thought went into the height and angle of the g clip. Spydercos sheaths are underrated IMO.

Though it's a utility knife for me, I can see why it'd be a forminable defensive carry. Deep guard, very pointy tip that sits are a good angle for piercing, very effective slicing geometry etc.

Thanks Vivi---

Looks handy. Might be a little large to rock horizontally as an EDC for a skinny guy so the Swick can't get here soon enough.

Yep it's a bit big for that. If you can carry concealed, it completely vanishes carried IWB at an angle at 1 o clock.

I'm so excited for the Swick. I plan to carry nothing else the first month I have one.

Haven't carried my favorite in a few weeks. As soon as I get it in hand, I remember why it's my jam!

Those are pretty worn in these days, I've had them for around 3 years on a few different Manix's I believe?? They are absolutely terrific, almost gooey haha, they just melt into my hand.

I agree, that's awesome! Worthy of saving for next year's calendar.
