Put some new copper scales on the old PM2 today. Came out pretty sweet. AA5B6367-7F7B-46B1-963C-196AA95962D8.jpeg

Very nice! (Though not a knife for those days when one want to go light, correct? ;) )
I love copper as a metal.
Yes, definitely adds some weight but that's not a big concern for me. I am anxious to see the Patina form, always makes a knife feel more unique and personal!

I think I'm on to something with this setup:

Been a while since I've seen one of those. Back in the mid 2000's I got to try a krein regrind centofante 4, and to this day it was one of the most impressive cutters I've used.

Today's companions. I've had them a few months, but don't think I've posted either. Peace and Wartstein, this particular Spydie was all your fault. And it is an incredible outdoors knife.

It is a great knife. I have never really carried the Centofante3 very much but over the years I have carried this one quite a bit. It shows some honest wear too. :)

The 2.5 mm hollow grind is a nice change in a world of ffg knives.

Carried today...and GLAD OF IT. Daughter and I went for a mountain bike ride on fire trails in the foothills. Out of nowhere materialized a pit bull and a german shepherd mix. They charged us, at full run and growling. I was wearing full finger gloves and fumbled my draw (!) But several yards distant they veered off; it was a bluff. Took off my right glove. Sure enough they charged us again in about 5 minutes. Pulled the Manix but didn't open it; they veered off again. Rode the next mile with the closed Manix in my hand but the dogs got distracted by a rabbit and lagged far behind. No actual drama, which is GREAT, but I was mighty thankful to have a Manix at the ready. Wish I'd remembered my pepper spray...!
