Love it! :) Which summit?

This was at the summit of Mt. Whiteface in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Thanks! REC said there will be more eventually, so it will be worth keeping an eye out for in the future!bbturbodad wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 3:40 pmLove the way the REC Lil Native looks! I missed out on the drop, so I'm gonna have to stick with the Rex-Carta for now. :cool:Mushroom wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 11:51 amThis beauty showed up yesterday!

Also, that Rex-carta Lil Native looks awesome! A Crucarta from Spyderco would be a dream come true. :D
Nice, same here! I love how unique these REC exclusives are.JuPaul wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 5:32 pmMine arrived as well...I love the combo! I sold my rex45 one so I could have one tool steel model (4v) and then get this stainless model. I've got a set of the Putman grooved green micarta scales for the Lil' Native - I'm debating on which of my two should wear them.Mushroom wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 11:51 amThis beauty showed up yesterday!

Those scales sound really cool. I think the DLC 4v blade would look great in the green micarta scales but so would the tan PVD coated blade. The PVD coated blade plus green micarta scales could be really cool as well because its similar to the original colors but maintains the same green/tan aesthetic. Definitely a tough choice!

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Grabbed this combo for a walkabout in the woods today to collect my trail cams. I usually leave them out until now to see what deer survived hunting season. They have probably all shed their antlers by now so I might as well get those cameras out of the cold. It was 0 degrees F this morning and it looks like it will be cold for the next week or so.

The Flytanium scales look great. The open close action is a little stiffer than the frn was, but the lock up is super solid. This is my second pocket clip from REK, it costs nearly as much as the scales  but in defense of the price, it's easily the best performing pocket clip I've used. In and out of the pocket smoothly and effortlessly no snags, and it's a great alternative to all the deep carry aftermarket Ti clips out there. The knife looks super clean, very happy with the make over.

Told you already in the "picture gallery": Very, VERY nice Stretch 1!!!
I have three VG10 Stretch 1 and one HAP 40 Stretch 1. I would very much like to find a serrated or comboedge version, but that seems to be almost impossible,
I also tried to get another HAP40 Stretch 1, had two almost done deals on ebay recently, but then the sellers decided not to ship to Europe in the end...

I think I saw a couple of HAP40 Spydies on French sites, but I think those were Enduras. Intra-European shipping is still good howeverWartstein wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 2:32 pm

Perhaps you could pm me if you recall where you saw those, that would be very kind!
Though concerning HAP 40 I am currently only interested in getting another Stretch 1
I have an HAP40 Endura and it is great, but for that one I don´t need a backup since the Endura does and will still come out in various different great steels. While the Stretch 1 is generally discontinued.
