Love this design! The lock is a bit difficult to operate, but I'm hoping it just need to break-in. The handle seems comfortable, but I haven't had a chance to use it hard yet. So far, I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this one.

I think it's one of Eric's better designs, but you are right, the lock has a bit of a curve to it, just keep using it, the spring will lighten up and it makes it much easier to use.... I like it anyways. :DPeaceInOurTime wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 12:55 am

This combo again today. Since I accidentally broke off the tip of the Matriarch, granted it made me a bit angry/sad as it was a gift from my wife, it's actually a bit more practical to use for edc. I like the SE scallops on this model compared to others I have/had. A lot less snaggy.

I've found that only using my thumb finger nail seems to make it easier, instead of thumb and index finger like disengaging an Axis lock. Also, I was pleasantly surprised with it's unexpectedly thin grind. Super slicey!
