So are you going to write up your thoughts after a year of only SE?

I've been considering it, but I don't think I will. Honestly, I don't have anything to say about SE that hasn't been said already, multiple times. My official verdict: I love SE and it'll always have a spot in what I carry daily :)

In 2020, I found out just how useful SE is. Unintentionally, I also found out that wharncliffes and hawkbills perform far better than a blade with belly, for my uses. Right now, I'm trying to get reaccustomed to using my "normal" bellied blades again. There are so many models I want to try, but I've become spoiled with wharncliffes and hawkbills :o .
I understand. Still, it was a pretty cool challenge you set for yourself. I feel like its successful completion deserves some recognition. :)

I really wish I'd discovered this forum in time to catch these! I'd love to see Spyderco do more inlaid scales again.

Ha! I just came across mine in the box today. I thought...I really need to put that in my pocket one of these days...then I put it back in my knife drawer and chose the Swayback

Thanks :)
It has certainly changed some of my preferences. I likely wouldn't have attempted it without influence from the many pro-SE forum members here.

I've considered getting one in case they ever get discontinued. Screw construction would be a nice update. I didn't think I'd like metal handles, but I do on my (blade swapped) titanium Byrd Hawkbill.

Trying again to like SE...it's just so snaggy. I know I can round the tips of the serrations a bit to help it cut better, I'm just not feeling all that motivated!

Manix XL helped strip this Yamaha F250 power head down to find the connecting rods sheared and bent from the motor hydro-locking from backing down on a fish. Crazy.
OUCH! One of my colleagues drove a gas F250 (460 engine) through a “puddle”. Front end went under and he sucked water. After rebuild, his boss wrote “I luv H2O” on it in white paint pen and presented it to him.

Haha! Hey, there's a PE blade in the Surge :p . That Ladybug and Ark are always carried regardless of whatever else I'm carrying.

I'm glad to see this model get carried. I know I'm in the minority, but I really like that Zome.

I didn't intentionally round off the points on my Endura. I just let normal use and sharpening do the work and it didn't take too long. Though, my Endura's serrations are no where close to as rounded as David's Caribbean.
