Opened a box this morning. I refrained from cleaning the blade immediately. Usually I would wipe it off but figured I'd show this thing does get used.
That’s a sick knife. I’ve tried to find one for a while. Shoulda bought one way back when.
Thanks. I bought it from a little old lady in Oregon many years ago. One of the forum members here pointed me in her direction and even sent me pictures of the knives she was selling up there. I was really hoping the sprint was going to get off the ground but it looks like that's not going to happen now.

Thanks! :D Even though it took a few hours to sculpt the pumpkin, it was well worth the time!

Welcome to the forum (or better welcome back, since you said you´re not really "new" here in another thread) :)

Very cool pic, and very cool "color-mod" both on blade and handle!

Thanks Nerdlock! I agree, it was a very generous prize! I couldn’t be happier to have won. :D
I actually entered two separate pumpkin carving contests and won second place in the other one, winning a Glow In The Dark Ladybug. All in all, for about 5 hours total between the two pumpkins it was well worth the time invested.

I got first place with Rivers Edge Cutlery and won the Swayback with this pumpkin - “Swarm of McBees take on a Monday Hornet”

Image

And I got runner up with GPKnives and won the Glow in the Dark Ladybug - “Jackolantern”

I made some slight modifications to these two:

Image

Shamelessly copying Evil D's wharncliffe mod with the Caribbean, and my first attempt at RIT dyeing with the REX 45 Military. I love the new, pointier blade shape on the Caribbean and the Military looks much better as well. (The dye was supposed to be dark green but it turned out pretty black. Oh well, still better than burnt orange.)

Thanks, I did it all myself. In fact that was older pic. Actually it has darkened screws and custom steel lanyard tube, still DIY.
