Hate that Rick! Do you think it was from twisting/torqueing or did you just hit something hard?

One very nice thing about frn production knives: they're relatively inexpensive and easy to replace! Or you can regrind it and basically have a Lil Matriarch.

This blade could really use a good cleaning. It was covered in kiwi juice after I cut up a few kiwis the other day. All I did was wipe off the blade with a dry towel, no water or oil to help clean. :D I've been kind of testing the corrosion resistance by just leaving it as is after use. Might be time for a scrub with some barkeepers friend later today.Wartstein wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 12:45 amMushroom wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 4:35 pmRex45 Lil Native

Nice beginning Patina! :)
My Rex 45 Manix 2 LW isn´t there yet, though I really do cut all kinds of stuff (including meat and fruit) with it..
But do you have spots on the very edge or is it just dirt or the lighting?

I think I may have had a slight twist to it, but I wouldn't intentionally do it when getting towards that fragile tip, so it may have snagged on a serration? I'm not really sure because it happened so quickly. Just a bit bummed since it was a total surprise from my wife as a Christmas gift last year.legOFwhat? wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:07 amHate that Rick! I personally would NOT clean the (whole) blade, but let it develop whatever Patina or spots it will get.. (that´s just me of course).
I was just wondering cause it looked like spots on the very apex, but those should obviously disappear at the latest with the next sharpening anyway... :)

Opened a box this morning. I refrained from cleaning the blade immediately. Usually I would wipe it off but figured I'd show this thing does get used.

That’s a sick knife. I’ve tried to find one for a while. Shoulda bought one way back when.

The more I carry and use this Delica, the more I like it. I never really thought much of the Delica in the past...but it's starting to make sense to me why it's been around for so long and in so many variations. Really works well for my hand size, maybe a tiny bit larger would be a bit better though (which is why I can't wait for the Endela in K390!)
