Reprofiled the edge to DMT X Coarse, or black. Wild how I used to think this was a reall coarse edge. It's nowhere close to as toothy as the 300 grit edges I've been running, but then again its a very worn stone. Going to take this Manix down to 200 grit, remove the microbevel, then polish to 300 or 400 grit.

I like it! Has it been rit dyed or is it a handle swap?

How do you like it?

I’ve really been thinking about getting a Stretch. I’m liking lockbacks more and more these days.

Yeah, I dyed the scales with teal RIT dye. I owned a regular Stretch 2 a while back, and just didn't love the blade shape or overall aesthetic. I much prefer this straight spine version with its more pointed tip - it just suits my day-to-day uses better. Both feel just a bit tall in the handles for my smaller hands, but that may just be because I'm so used to the slimmer delicas and enduras. It's also worth noting that mine is one of the smoothest Seki backlocks I've owned - it was perfect out of the box. And of course the ivory scales are nice since you can dye them any color you like. Overall it's a keeper - I like it quite a bit.

One more day with this guy, then I feel the need for a Manix to close out the week.
