I know I've said it many times, but man...I love this knife :)

I really love how your scales have weathered. I feel like mine have a pretty consistent color overall, but yours have such awesome contrast in the recessed areas. Maybe I need to scrub mine and start over.

I have to agree. The more and more I carry it, the more unique the scales look, but they also have a different feel to them. It's grippier, not quite as fuzzy, but sort of slick in a way. The grooves really help it stay locked in, but also add a bit of contrast as they wear. I remember when I first got them I wasn't that impressed...silly me! Patience has never been a strong trait of mine :p

I'm not a particularly sweaty/oily person, so I think they have worn in from a lot of use. I'd guess on a daily basis at work, I'm grabbing for my knife at least 20 times a day. The more you carry them the more unique they will get, I promise!

Yeah, I'm sure mine haven't seen as much use as yours! Plus mine have gotten all grimy from use at the barn where my hands are usually covered in greasy fly ointment, dirt, hoof mud, horse slobber, etc. ;) The ones I got for my k390 pm2 have stayed a lot lighter, but I usually have clean dry hands when I carry that one.

Just received my very first Spyderco. The Native 5 G10 S30V. I am so happy everyone. I have the Watu on its way to me as well. This is going to be a problem lol. I'll end the year with a nice collection.
